What are the guidelines regarding my costume?
Membership requires an appropriate Imperial themed costume and is based on the following two criteria: AUTHENTICITY: It is essential that your costume represent canon in regards to the films. In essence, the costume you wear must be screen accurate and readily recognizable in regards to the Star Wars films.Yes. Weve had umpteen knights of olde and star wars characters. It adds to the fun. Obviously the costume should not restrict movement! If a child should be wearing anything that we feel might be unsafe during the games and fencing then we would ask that they remove the item during our session. E.g., wooden swords etc.The Rebel Legion is an inclusive, equal opportunity club. In order to join you must be at least 18 years of age and must legally be considered an adult where you live.
What is the distinction between Pagan "magickal" and "religious" practices?
It is impossible to separate out the magickal from the religious, as it all seems a continuum. Magickal practices run the gamut from simple "Kitchen Witch" spells and charms -- mostly concerned with individual healings, blessings, tranformations, and other small workings; through "Circle Work" involving raising anercy for healings, community service, weather working, etc.
Question: How's an Operetta different from a Broadway musical, then?
Answer: In terms of basic theatrical presentation - cast, chorus, orchestra, sets, lights, costumes and all that stuff - it isn't. Almost all forms of stage musicals - Grand Opera, Operettas, or Broadway - are love stories. Boy meets girl, boy loses girl because of the plot, and so on. Grand Operas end, though, when poor girl or boy (or both) die tragic deaths, boo-hoo. I am a trained dressmaker and I used to work at the Royal Opera House making the theatrical costumes. Many people have asked me to make clothes for their dolls and I make whatever they ask for, but I must admit that I do prefer making historically correct clothes. I can supply illustrations of Victorian doll's clothes which are historically correct for French and German dolls.
