By Don Bethune

Human nature has always hungered for self expression. Ever evolving technology has, in recent years lead us into a new era of global communication, the weblog. Web logging, or ablogginga as most refer to it, is a wide spread phenomenon. In fact you could consider scribbling on cave walls the very first form of blogging. Needless to say, it has come a long way since then.

It is no longer necessary for one to be well versed in HTML, the language of the computer, or even the computer itself in order to utilize this form of expression. Many sites offer services that allow you to aposta your content with the click of a button, uploaded for the world to see. One of the most well known sites offering this service is Wordpress.com.

The nice thing about blogs is that they are super easy to create. To start a blog, you no longer need to know anything about computers, apart from where the keyboard is. This is because there are plenty of online blogging tools at your disposal. The 2 most famous ones are Blogspot and Wordpress.

Think of a blank canvas. The canvas belongs to anyone who wants to use it. You are assigned your very own spot on this avirtual canvasa, and you go to work, making that spot solely and uniquely yours. This is in laymenas terms, how Wordpress operates. You log onto their site, sign up for their free service, and completely customize a page all your own. Adding themes, stories, facts and opinions whatever and whenever you please.

You can also add all sorts of widgets to your blog to add functionality. Whether they be comment forms to allow your readers to post their comments, or bookmark links to make it easier for your readers to bookmark your blog on a social bookmarking website- this helps spread your blog around the internet community and helps improve your marketing status.

Other gadgets that you can put on your Wordpress blog include a calendar, to display your schedule, polls to get your readers' opinions and also for fun, a tag cloud to make it easier to sort through your old posts.

The user-ability of the site is more than easy. They walk you through a step by step sign up process, and voila! An empty page is before you! After finishing your project, simply locate the asubmita button, and with a click of the wrist, Wordpress.com does the rest. Within seconds your blog is posted and viewable. Itas that simple.

So, now that youare a little more enlightened as to just how exactly this works, why not give it a try? Iam sure youave got something to say, what better way to do so than to upload your two cents to cyber space? - 15359
