North Cyprus Villas - The Different Side Of Cyprus

By Tim Martins

As far as religion is concerned, North Cyprus remains neutral and this has developed it into a very cosmopolitan region. After Sardinia and Sicily, Cyprus is the 3rd largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and it can be positioned at about 65 km south of Turkey. Other countries close by to Cyprus include Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Israel and Greece.

!974 was the year when Cyprus had to be split into 2 halves leaving the Turkish Cypriots in the North and the Greek Cypriots in the south. In the North of Cyprus you will find virtually the lowest property prices in the Mediterranean as well as cheaper rentals.

The island's present shape is formed mainly because of the side pressures formed during different geological ages. 'Capes' have been formed where the land has strength against the erosion of the sea and 'Gulfs' have been formed where the land was weaker and so gave way to erosion.

Cyprus in fact hides 2 capes called the Zafer cape which is located on the edge of the Karpaz peninsular and then there is the Korucam Cape on the western side of the island. You will also find 2 gulfs which are found in Guzelyurt and Famagusta so you can imagine the real beauty that North Cyprus has to offer, and this is one of the main reasons for it having become one of Europe's top holiday destinations. You will find that there aren't many vacancies in the North Cyprus holiday rental villas throughout the year.

The feature that sticks out most in North Cyprus is a mountain range called the Kyrenia Mountains or Five Finger Mountains, which is situated in the North. The range is quite narrow but almost 130 Km long and runs parallel with the coast and in total measures a region of about 260 sq Km. The composition of the range is largely limestone, dolomite, and marble and they also offer the most spectacular views. You can also find cheap accommodation in the region as there are plenty of North Cyprus villas.

The northern part of the island is lush with vegetation and hosts many varieties of trees and plants including olive trees and carob trees. The largest natural spring on the island is also found in the North and is situated in the Five Finger mountain range. Luckily the region is able to many North Cyprus villas whose spectacular views include the Mesaoria plain, located in the island's central region between the Kyrenia and the Troodos mountain ranges.

Villas are located in the northern and eastern shores of North Cyprus. As an added advantage, the clear, blue, warm waters of the Mediterranean covers these shores. All along the coastline are bays and beaches. Swimming and sunbathing can be enjoyed too. The North Cyprus Villas can also provide with private swimming pool.

North Cyprus is without a doubt the place to choose as your next holiday destination, with all those wonderful views, places of interest and an all year round temperature which puts Cyprus in a league of its own. Check out the villas in North Cyprus and come and discover the different side of Cyprus. - 15359
