create a new blog

By Emmanuel Aldis

When will I start making money?
This is a very tough question to answer because there are a lot of factors involved. Some people are able to hit the ground running and make money right away. Most people, however, will not see results quickly at all. The hardest part in all of this is to be persistent. Keep blogging. Keep your content fresh and keep changing out links, banners etc. This is where can come in particularly handy for you. There is so much advice to give on blogging and earning money online that I couldn't fit it into an email.

How does Q Ads work?
Q Ads is focused on advertisements in blog posts, so we've built it into Qumana and made a Q-Ads Tool that can be activated from your browser (IE/Firefox). We combine easy blogging with easy money. Every time you write something, you can insert an ad, or two, anywhere in the post. You can even change the sizes and colors, all to make your ads look better to your readers. We believe that existing ban on earning money by placing ads in LJ blogs leads to a situation in which interesting blogs, attractive for advertisers, might migrate to standalone platforms outside of LJ.

Can I put up my own ads or use PayPerPost?
No. Because WebbleYou's compensation payment model is based on a 70/30 split of the site's revenue, we manage all of the advertising, which we see as a significant benefit to authors. Advertising that isn't managed by WebbleYou makes it impossible to split the revenue accurately. By comparing data across sites, we are able to optimize the type of advertising we use in our network in order to help you make the most money possible. We cannot guarantee that your blog will earn money in a given amount of time, and some topics are not well-suited to monetization. More concrete topics (e.g. product reviews) tend to generate better ad revenue.

Are blogs commercially significant? Where's the money?
Okay, made money, but only because Google bought them. Soon, Yahoo, AOL, and Microsoft will add blogging to their services, and they may buy some of the existing blogging tools companies. for most users, there's no clear idea how they are going to make money. Only a handful of blogs attract a large readership. Joshua Marshall at with 50,000 visitors per day, asks readers to contribute money, but he earns his living as a journalist.No. Because WebbleYou's compensation payment model is based on a 70/30 split of the site's revenue, we manage all of the advertising, which we see as a significant benefit to authors. Do you make money blogging?
Yes, I make money by writing paid reviews on a few of my blog sites, on Google Adsense, Helium, and Affiliate Programs. Since I'm a mom, all of my blogging money goes to raising my kids, otherwise maybe I'd have something to brag about.Q Ads is focused on advertisements in blog posts, so we've built it into Qumana and made a Q-Ads Tool that can be activated from your browser (IE/Firefox). If I start a new blog, how long will it take to make money, and how much will I make?
We cannot guarantee that your blog will earn money in a given amount of time, and some topics are not well-suited to monetization. More concrete topics (e.g. product reviews) tend to generate better ad revenue. However, it's possible to make money blogging about virtually any topic if you are a good writer, post regularly, and build an audience. There is so much advice to give on blogging and earning money online that I couldn't fit it into an email. - 15359
