Pay Per Click! The Best Cost-Effective Traffic Generating Method.

By Dai1952

For quite a time now pay per click marketing has been used by new and experienced internet marketers who want to provide increased traffic to their website in a short space of time. For a quite a while, people have been using this technique as it is clear this type of marketing comes out far ahead of other methods of advertising. There are a great many misunderstandings about how pay per click works which I hope will be addressed below.

The idea behind this is simple; you can advertise your site on another (possibly larger) website that receives a large amount of traffic. Then, whenever anyone clicks that ad, they will be taken to your site, and if they stay there for more than five or ten seconds, you will pay the hosting site a very small amount of money.

The only way this system works is by placing adverts on sites that have content relevant to what you are advertising, otherwise it would be a complete waste of time and money.

Instead of paying for 30 days worth of ads that 'might' bring you few or no clients, with pay-per-click, you only pay when visitors see the ad and then go visit your site. Some people are worried about competitors clicking to run up their bill or lose them from the screen completely but in practice this rarely happens. From a business standpoint, pay-per-click marketing is extremely efficient at targeting the precise market the business wants to target. Those who view your ad are already in the market for the type of product or service you are marketing.

The biggest, and most famous of these pay-per-click services, is a company named Google with their program called Adwords. Your ad will appear when people search Google for term or phrase that you choose. If you paid a high fee for the search term, you could see your sponsored ad at the very top of Google's search page, or at the right side of the page.

These instant results cannot be beaten in any other advertising medium and it is that attracts pay per click customers. Many companies use this technique to gauge how good their advertising copy will be before they use it in more expensive areas. Almost all top companies will use pay per click as part of their marketing structure because it is perceived as being the most effective.

Are you a Clickbank Affiliate? If so, then you know how well Clickbank and Adwords work together. It can be a bit daunting at first, but with so many programs dedicated to helping us use Adwords and Clickbank together, we marketers can look forward to lowest cost, very targeted, traffic from Adwords to our Clickbank Resellers pages. - 15359
