How do I get academic regalia?
The Academic Affairs office pays to rent regalia for faculty who don't have their own. This applies to both the opening day convocation in the fall and to commencement in the spring. You can order by going to the CSB/SJU Bookstore home page and clicking on Academic Regalia Ordering Information. The bookstore site you choose is determined by the campus where you were hired and the billing goes directly to Academic Affairs.The Commencement Participation Form (CPF) is a two-part form available only in the packet of information mailed to eligible graduates prior to the ceremony date. This form must be completed and both parts returned to the University Registrar's Office along with the appropriate fee in the envelope provided. The receipt of the form by NSU serves to reserve your place in the ceremony and to order the standard regalia (cap and gown) from the NSU Bookstore. Faxed forms cannot be accepted.Graduation regalia should be returned within two hours after the commencement exercises.

Do I need to arrive at the line-up area wearing my academic regalia?
Yes, degree candidates should be dressed in academic regalia when they arrive at the line-up area. Academic regalia consists of a mortarboard cap, academic gown, and tassel. Master's students will purchase a hood with their regalia. PhD students will receive their hood on stage from their advisor.Men are encouraged to wear dark trousers and shoes and a shirt with a collar. Women are encouraged to wear dark slacks, a skirt or a dress, as well as low-heeled shoes.Graduation regalia should be returned within two hours after the commencement exercises.

The Champion must also care for the regalia and turn it over to his or her successor after the next championship competition.Unfortunately, replacement regalia is not available on the day of Commencement. Fortunately, no student has ever forgotten their cap and gown.

Yes, we will provide indoor changing facilities at the D.C. Armory and outdoor changing and storage tents at the Procession staging area. The D.C.
