Fantastic Pirate Halloween Costumes Fit to Walk the Plank In

Wouldn't it be fun to dress up like a hot pirate for your next Halloween party or masquerade ball? Finding the right accessories is all you have to do. From pirate swords to pirate mustaches the right accessories are available. If you don't want to look for your accessories you can often find pirate costumes complete with pirate eye patch for your Halloween party. A little planning and this October 31st you can be the hottest pirate to pillage the seven seas.

Many may think that they are too old to play dress up or cannot find the right costume in the right size, but that is where the world has not changed, only now you can find the costume you are looking for online. Buying online, you will find the convenience of knowing what costume will fit without ever having to step into a dressing room. Just imagine dressing up as the scandalous Jack Sparrow, or as a female version in a women's pirate captain costume. Halloween Costumes are meant to be fun, so why not a Sexy Pirate Costume.

Although we typically think of pirates as swashbuckling but harmless rogues, in fact, they once were truly the outlaws of the high seas in the early days. Some of the more famous ones include Redbeard, Anne Bonny, Mary Read, Barbarossa, Blackbeard, and William Kidd. It's not well known that there were a few women as well, but indeed, there were and they made their livings with this never dull lifestyle. You might also be interested to know that the word "pirate" means to "attempt, experience"; to whit, "To find luck on the sea".

Piracy in the Caribbean has sparked not only the minds of young children but fictional writers, and movies as well. The infamous Jolly Roger flag and Edward England's flag have been under the spotlight of history and Hollywood as well. Piracy reigned in the Caribbean from 1560 to the 1760s and still today, yet this was when Piracy was at an all time high. It sparked interest because of conflicts between England, Spain, the Dutch, and France. Most of the pirates of that time were of English or Dutch Origin.

Halloween, and the costumes surrounding it, gives not only children but also adults as well to be something else even if only for a few hours. It's striking that many believe that America was the first to don Halloween costumes but masquerades and masks have been around for centuries. Halloween is also celebrated in other countries as well, including Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, and Wales.

Some choose to dress up in a sexy Halloween costume and be flirtatious on October 31st. Others enjoy the night pretending to be someone they are not, reenacting pirate scenes they have watches in movies or read about in books. The night doesn't have to be scary; it just has to be fun. Haunted houses, horrifying costumes, and theatrical costumes add to the fun for some. For others a fun party with pirates, clowns, and a super hero or two is more fun. There is no right or wrong way to celebrate, as long as you are having fun.
